The Midlife Renewal is a direct-pay medical practice, allowing me to provide personalized, unhurried care without the time constraints and limitations often imposed by insurance. Appointments are conducted by secure telehealth for patients located in Louisiana.
Comprehensive New Patient Program
Designed to guide you through the first several months of care, this program includes:
- One comprehensive 75-90 minute new patient appointment
- Three 30-minute follow-up visits
- Personalized treatment plan
- Medication adjustments, when appropriate
- Review and interpretation of laboratory results
- Secure messaging for brief treatment-related questions between scheduled visits
To allow for thoughtful medication adjustments and ongoing monitoring, the three follow-up visits should be completed within 12 months of your initial appointment.
After completion of the Comprehensive New Patient Program, patients transition to established follow-up visits as needed, and an annual comprehensive visit for ongoing care and prescription management.
Established Follow-Up Visit
30-minute follow-up appointments for established patients after completion of the New Patient Program.
These visits may include:
- Medication adjustments
- Review of symptoms and progress
- Laboratory review
- Ongoing hormone therapy management
- Metabolic health follow-up
- Lifestyle Medicine counseling
Annual Comprehensive Follow-Up
A 60-minute annual visit is required for all patients who continue receiving prescription medications through The Midlife Renewal.
This visit includes:
- Review of your medical history and current medications
- Laboratory review, when appropriate
- Preventive health discussion
- Updates to your treatment plan
- Prescription renewal for the coming year, when appropriate
Additional Information
Laboratory Testing
When laboratory testing is recommended, orders are typically sent to Labcorp or Quest Diagnostics so you can visit a location convenient to you. Most routine laboratory testing is billed directly through the laboratory and may be covered by your health insurance, depending on your individual plan.
Prescription Medications
Prescription medications are filled through your preferred pharmacy and are billed separately by your pharmacy. Medication costs vary depending on your insurance coverage and the medication prescribed.
Payment Information
Payment is due at the time of service. Major credit cards, HSA cards, and FSA cards are accepted. Patients are responsible for verifying eligibility with their HSA or FSA plan administrator.
Insurance & Coverage
The Midlife Renewal does not bill insurance.
As a direct-pay practice, this allows me to spend more time with each patient and provide individualized care without the restrictions often associated with insurance-based visits.
Depending on your insurance plan, laboratory testing and prescribed medications may still be covered separately.
